Bringing it All Together
(warning: bad grammar might be found) Recently I have discovered a pesky bug in my website so I had to delete everything and reinstall everything. It was a pain in the ass. The upside to all of this was re-designing my website, something that I have been meaning to do for a while. Now I am very happy with my site. It looks simple and clean, perfect to represent my work.
Now for some other updates:
As you know, I have been working my butt off getting my art out there, building my business, marketing, doing shows and networking. So far I have had quite a few opportunities land in my lap as a result, including having my jewelry in 3 different stores in Los Anegeles, an ipad app collaboration project, a couple illustration freelance gigs and promoting a new show Carnival at Dark coming out in August 31.
So much is happening I can hardly stand still.
Now I’m also announcing the launch of a new project, something really exciting and definitely has me staying awake at night obsessing over. It’s called Artfully Unemployed and it’s a blog about the artist experience. Partnering up with one of my good art buddies Jennifer Korsen, we will be launching this website in a matter of days.
Some of things being featured on this online magazine will be artist interviews–an inside look into the artistic lifestyle and artist spotlights, event reviews, helpful articles, videos and much much more…oh I can’t wait. It’s going to be so much fun.
We hope that with this blog we will inform the public about what it’s like being an artist, promote great artists and their works, share some of the amazing and talented art out there that we have discovered and help build an artistic thriving community full of passion and prosperity. Sounds wordy, doesn’t it? Well I guess I’m just really excited and don’t really care
