And I am back. I have been a long time away from blogging.
First of all, I would like to let all my readers know that as of now I am going to stop posting in this blog. Instead, I have just launched a new blog which can be found at this address www.dianalevinart.com/blog.
Since I am going to be going in a new direction with my art and closing down my cafepress store, I wanted my new blog to reflect my new brand. I hope to see everyone there.
Today I am introducing one of my most recent additions to my gift shop. Fantasy Angel illustration can be found on my portfolio site and now is available on various products.
Today’s post is about my Monster Tea Party Illustration Piece, digitally painted and offered on a variety of gifts. This painting was specifically created as a promotional children’s illustration portfolio piece. I will be using it for my postcard direct mail campaign. But because of it’s whimiscal and fun style, I thought it might look good on greeting cards, prints and various outher gifts that I offer in my shop.

I told you I was going to post updates shortly and here I am. This dragon illustration has been hiding in my shop design inventory for the longest time so I finally decided to make it available for sale in my cafepress store.
I love drawing dragons and will probably never stop. Much of my inspiration comes from collecting dragon figurines. Mcfarlane Series has always been my favorite to collect and so my book shelves are filled with creatures of various shapes and sizes. If I could have a real live dragon, I would. Hehe.
This particular illustration was done digitally, starting from the basic sketch to the final rendered photoshop painting. The scales took me a while because I was having trouble deciding how to render them.
Here is the full illustration. Sorry for the watermark.

Okay, so I realize that I have not written a new post in very long time. I have been a very bad blogger. But now I’m back to update everyone who is following along on what’s been going on in my little universe.
I have just uploaded 4 new designs to cafepress. I will post these shortly.
I just got a new addition to my little family. My boyfriend and I rescued a baby Iguana from pet store last weekend. He is quite feisty and energetic. We are hoping to tame him before he gets to large for that. Yikes! Meanwhile we are on a lookout for a larger cage for him and also learning as much as we can about how to care for the little guy.
Still at my new/already going on 3 months job doing compositing and 3D digital effects.
I am attempting to get back to drawing on a regular basis.
I am getting ready for Halloween. Already! Spooky Ghost is one of my latest t-shirt horror designs. For anybody that loves monsters and would like to shop for some unqiue halloween gifts, wickedwidow.com is the place to go.
I just finished my latest illustration, The Winged Shinx. As always I drew it freehand, scanned it, and painted it digitally in photoshop. She is a cute little girl/cat with stripes and bird wings.
I might develop a children’s book based on this character. It could be fun. Here it is…
I recently uploaded a new design to my t-shirt gift shop, Treetop Dragon. This dragon illustration can be found on various t-shirt styles. Click on the images to visit the store.
